Ocular melanoma is usually diagnosed during a detailed eye exam, often with pupil dilation. Imaging tests may be used to confirm the diagnosis, and a biopsy is not always required.

Living with Metastatic OM

Ocular melanoma can spread beyond the eye, most commonly to the liver, but also to the lungs, bones, and other organs. This is known as metastatic ocular melanoma.
